Seniors who have no yearning to fly off to Paris or Tokyo might consider following in Ben Franklin’s footsteps in Philadelphia for a brief refresher. Leave the car at home. Amtrak takes you into the heart of the city. From there, you walk. Philadelphia is still a walkable city. But if walking is not your idea of fun, you can board the Phlash, the hop-on, hop-off purple trolley that makes the rounds of 19 center-city attractions until Nov. 30. Seniors ride free except between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Otherwise, it’s $1 each time you board.
